THE PRICE OF MIGRATION.

The phenomenon of migration in Italy is still a serious problem and much more in the past. In particolar, it is a problem which involves above all the south of Italy and some areas in particular. If the past the migrant was a person forced to abandon his/her land and family in search of a good job, or just only to accumulate money to send home or surely better, today the figure of the migrant has changed. Sometimes, the migrant leaves home because he is escaping from the war in his country; becuse of political reasons; because he wants to exploits new possibilities of life. Hovewer, it is never a happy situation and migration today means choosing to go and live and work elsewhere. They do occasional works, or even hundreds of occasional, small activities which allow them to a fairly acceptable living. Naturally the price of migration is high both for those people who migrates and for the country. The country loses men, arms which always represent a reserve of necessary wealth. There is also another contrary effect: an excess of mena s compared with the work offered. Another negative effect is related to the earnings of the workers: they spend their money in other countries and spending money means making a country rich. But the most important effect of migration is, in my opinion, the distance from family. Have you ever seen the eyes of a migrant? They are sad, deeply sad. He is often alone, without love and comfort, without a person who takes care of him. Let’s try for their country. to help people not to migrate; let’s try to help them to remain in their countries, because they represent an inportant sorce
