Nowadays, the use of websites is increasingly part of our daily life. We spend most of our time on entertainment platforms, such as digital platforms to listen to music, to watch movies and TV series and for arts and education.

Netflix  has taken the place of videotapes, but also even going to the cinema hasn’t the same value as it once had, because many films that come out in the cinemas are released simultaneously on pirate sites. Those sites that allow you to watch movies and TV series for free are obviously illegal. In fact, you have to be very careful, as they could get viruses but more importantly you also risk high penalties.

Music platforms like Spotify have taken over in the new millennium and have replaced cds and vinyls because they are much more accessible: with just one click you can access thousands of playlists.

In the last months of Covid, museums have been closed and digital was the only tool for keeping these institutions open and interacting with the public. The best thing about online museum visits is that geographic distances can be broken down with a click.  So if you feel like visiting

the MoMA  in New York, for example, you can just do that from your home. The collection of the famous museum has about 200,000 pieces of modern and contemporary art, of which 86,000 can be admired virtually. Viewing them online means being able to click on the icon of each work, view it enlarged on a dedicated page.

So, there are lots of ways to entertain ourselves at home; you have just to click!
