The internet can be very helpful if used properly. There are a lot of tools for accomplishing various actions and a world of information at the tips of your fingers.
Although this may seem very convenient, it may also come with downsides that should not be ignored: that includes addiction.
I know people who spend over ten hours a day on their phones, and although I do not, my screen time is slowly rising every week. It’s like an escape from reality: that is, in fact, the very cause of the addiction.
How can we help? For one, we could find a new hobby. A real life activity that is fun and does not tire. One could also spend more time with friends, respecting COVID-19 precautions (obviously). There are many other ways, too: you don’t have to rely on digital devices to be happy.
