The capital of Malta is Valletta. It is a city rich of history and culture, with stunning Baroque architecture and numerous tourist attractions, including St John’s Cathedral and the magnificent Barrakka Gardens. Valletta is also an important economic and administrative center of the country.

In the south-east of Malta, by the sea, there is the most traditional and authentic village on the island: Marsaxlokk. This small fishing village was one of Malta’s first human settlements and its port was one of the main commercial centers on the island.
