War in Ukraine: the despair of the people

The war between Russia and Ukraine began on February 24, 2022.

The causes of the war go back to 2014, when the Russians invaded Crimea taking control of a series of strategic positions and infrastructures.

Since that time, Crimea was annexed by Russia, and on 6 April 2014 in the Donbass Region there were numerous clashes between pro-Russians and Ukrainians.

The fighting in the Donbass increased significantly on February 17, 2022, and at dawn on February 24, Putin announced the start of a special military operation.

Zelensky tried to find an agreement with Putin, but nothing emerged from the negotiations.

Unfortunately, the Ukrainian people are the ones who suffer the most from the war: many people have decided to leave their country to emigrate elsewhere.

So, people have had to flee their homes, while others no longer have a home because the bombing destroyed everything. Other people have lost their lives, many have lost their relatives.

In my opinion, war does not bring anything good, it only brings death. I think of the many children who have died, of those who have lost their parents and who no longer have anything.

I believe that it is not right that human lives are involved in Putin’s interests.
