One of the articles written which particularly interested me is entitled “Ukraine, flees from war at 12 and triumphs in Pole sport”, published on 24/05/2022. In fact, this article is about a twelve-year-old Ukrainian, Yeva Korystova, a pupil of the “Curzi” secondary school, in the Marche city, where she arrived after leaving her country due to the Russian invasion. The girl is welcomed in San Benedetto del Tronto (Ascoli Piceno) and triumphs at the European Championships (in Valladolid, Spain) of Pole sport, a discipline which combines gymnastics and dance through the execution of acrobatic figures.
This article attracted me above all for the courage and skill of a girl so young which, despite the pain and fear caused by the war, she doesn’t let herself go, but on the contrary continues to do what she likes and to achieve her goals.
