Måneskin is a rock band formed by Damiano David the singer, Victoria De Angelis the bassist, Thomas Raggi the guitarist and Ethan Torchio the drummer.
After a first collaboration between singer Damiano David and bassist Victoria De Angelis, in 2015, a few years after their first meeting, Damiano contacted Victoria again with the aim of forming a group; the guitarist Thomas Raggi and drummer Ethan Torchio joined the line-up.
In 2016 the group took part in the Pulse – High School Band Contest, winning it, and for the first time used the name Måneskin, a Danish word, the native language of Victoria.
In 2017 they come second to X Factor. In 2018 they are guests of the show “Che tempo che fa”, signing their first appearance on Rai channel. Later they participate as guests in many broadcasts such as Cattelan, Ossigeno, Saturday Night Live. With the single “Torna a casa”, they achieved enormous success, becoming the first single of the group to reach the top of the FIMI Top Singles.
On December 26, 2018 their first album called “Il ballo della vita” is released and in 2019 they do a tour named after their album that sold out. In 2021 they participate as competitors in the Sanremo Festival with the song Zitti e buoni, and they won it. Their victory at the Sanremo Festival guaranteed access to the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 as representatives of Italy.
