Swimming

Swimming is an individual activity that allows the body to float and move in the water. Swimming involves almost every muscle in the body. Besides being an Olympic sport it is a recreational activity. The history of swimming has its origins in ancient times, over 7,000 years ago, as evidenced by the discovery of rock paintings depicting men in the act of swimming dating back to the Stone Age.

It has been included in the Olympic program since the First Olympics Games. Swimming can be practiced at a competitive level, involving many sacrifices for those who practice it at this level. Considered a complete and healthy sport, which distributes homogeneous movement throughout the body, it promotes health, longevity and physical and psychological well-being. It often has aesthetic and physical benefits: you get an increase in lean mass and a reduction of that grass, the development of bone scaffolding involves and expansion of the rib cage, improvement of motor coordination, respiratory and reduction of spasticity.
