At the beginning of the 1950s, during the economic boom, the best Italian singers of the time performed at the Ariston Theatre in Sanremo, thus beginning the epic of the Italian Song Festival, later known as the Sanremo Festival. Over the decades, the Festival has become known worldwide, thanks to the songs and also to the international artists who have taken part in it.
The Festival is now much more than a singing event. By closely accompanying Italian history, from the post-war period to the present day, it has become a mirror of our society, part of our culture, of which it offers us a bit of a reflection. Like our society and our culture, and thanks to its form, unstable but flexible, in continuous transformation, it has been able to change and adapt to society and the times,
The 72nd edition of the Sanremo Festival will open on a few days and will be hosted for the third time by Amadeus, fixed guest we will find Fiorello. The artistic director in the five evenings will be flanked by many women, in the first evening there will be Ornella Muti, in the second evening Lorena Cesarini, in the third evening Drusilla Foer, in the fourth evening Maria Chiara Giannetta and in the last evening the actress Sabrina Ferilli. In short, this year too we expect an exciting Festival with a final surprise, as was the case last year, with the victory of Maneskin, who are also appreciated internationally.
