Mother is certainly the most important human being in everyone’s life, from the moment of conception and then from birth and throughout life. Mother’s Love for her child certainly cannot be compared with anything.
A mother’s responsibility is not limited to the nine months of pregnancy but continues every moment of every day with her child.
Mothers share a deep connection with their children. This connection certainly cannot be matched by anyone else. Even fathers fail to establish that type of understanding. A mother can understand her infant child without communication. This certainly develops a strong emotional connection between a mother and child.
Every human being owes his or her life to a mother, and almost always owes much of his or her subsequent existence, human and spiritual formation to her. Yet she is given little consideration in her central role in society.
The role of the mother today goes far beyond care. The mother represents courage, resourcefulness, spirit of sacrifice and a great sense of intuition. A mother is able to understand your mood and grasp your thoughts even without communicating. She knows how to be the best guide, counsellor, friend, but also ready to scold you when necessary. Sometimes we take her presence for granted when we need it, we pretend to be listened to when we decide to speak, but we pay little attention to the contrary, as if a mother owes us everything but has no rights over her children.
Let us remember that every mother is a precious gift from God to be loved and respected every day.
