Our first debate

These days one of the topics we are talking about in Italy is the referendum on the legalization of cannabis. Obviously not everyone is in favour of legalizing it, in fact the Italian people are divided into two groups : who is for and who is against. For this reason, by following the suggestion of our Italian teacher, we have decided to approach this issue through a debate with our classmates;  after having carried out research, on the 5^th November we were separated into two groups and  judged by a jury, composed of the teachers of Law, Philosophy and English. After a heated confrontation between the two parts the winning group has been decreed the one of the “cons”. It was the first time to give voice to our thoughts about a very important problem, we have to admit that the experience was pleasant and useful because we listened to  points of view, different from ours, so that some of us  changed their mind. We confess that it was not easy for us to do it but as the results were positive we experienced it with big enthusiasm, ready to repeat it with other issues.
