Most of the time and for most of us young people, the term “free time” is understood as “doing nothing”. In reality, you can do something relaxing but useful at the same time. Depending on our interests and attitudes, there is a wide range of hobbies we can devote ourselves to when we do not have ‘assigned tasks’ or ‘duties’ such as: Reading : one of the most instructive activities. In addition to the pleasure and entertainment that it adds to the life of the person, it also fills the mind with knowledge about lots of topics; it’s possible to do it either by buying books or by exchanging books with friends; Writing: it attests to the ability to transfer ideas and feelings onto paper; Sewing: it is a nice idea to start a sewing project, fashion design, knitting art pieces; Drawing: it allows creativity to be expressed Cooking: it is a fun but above all useful activity ……or Taking photos with the help of a professional camera or simply your smartphone, you can capture details or panoramas and many other things
By following any of the above, we will not only have used the time usefully but we will have learned a little more about ourselves, what we are capable of doing and/or our potential. We can increase our self-esteem and overcome insecurities.
