In connection with Mersin!

Hi everyone, I’m Gabriele Gervasi and I’m 13 years old. Today I will talk to you and I will tell you about the Erasmus meeting of our school with that of Mersin.

This school year, I have already been able to attend two Erasmus projects: one in October and the other in February. In the first I went to Poland, precisely to Lublin, with two teachers and a schoolmate; the second, where unfortunately I was unable to go due to covid 19, took place in Turkey, precisely in Mersin.

During these projects, I met new guys from Turkey, Romania, and Poland, with whom I made friends.

During this second project, more online meetings were scheduled. In the first meeting, a group of young people from my class, including myself, presented a Powerpoint about the music of their country and its characteristics. On another day, other young people exposed a Powerpoint on the typical clothes of our land. Instead, during one of the last days, a meeting on sewing techniques was prepared. Finally, on one of the last days, a meeting on typical art in Turkey was prepared.

Taking part in this second Erasmus project surprised me a lot, understanding that each country has its own habits and customs; at the same time, it made me want to travel. Furthermore, participating in one of them could help to improve in speaking foreign languages, know how to adapt to situations, and understand what are the characteristics of another country. To conclude, I suggest you experience an Erasmus trip at least once in your life.
