Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a film of 2004 directed by Michel Gordy with Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet as protagonists.
In Italian the title has been translated into “Se mi lasci ti cancello!”.
With Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, writer Charlie Kaufman and director Michel Gondry have created a film whose entire purpose is to blur and fade, a self-erasing tribute to the fragility of memory and of love. That was the first time I’ve watched and I think it’s a great one.
In the beginning, I thought it was like a sort of romantic and sentimental film, like Titanic, but at the end I realized that my vision of the film was perfectly balanced.
I sure haven’t a favorite part of Eternal Sunshine because all the film has lots of scenes that I liked, from the beginning’s twist to the new relationship.
I think that this film is perfect in almost every conceivable way, and anyone who complains that it is not original must be joking – in my entire lifetime, this is one of the most unique film experiences I have ever had. So I higly suggest it for your Saturday Night at home!
