American rapper Earl Simmons (DMX) died at the age of 50 after being hospitalized for an overdose that caused a heart attack. Earl Simmons, legendary rap best known as DMX, is dead. Last weekend he was hospitalized due to a heart attack caused by an overdose. Later, already in serious condition, he was admitted to White Plains, a New York hospital. The last few days have been very delicate as the rapper was in a coma and attached to a respirator. The rumors in the past few hours were chasing each other so much that even the manager had to deny his death.
News of the death was followed by some statements from the family: “We are deeply saddened to announce today that our beloved DMX, birth name of Earl Simmons, died at age 50 at White Plains Hospital with his family by his side after having been mechanically kept alive in the last days ”. They go on to say, “Earl was a warrior who fought to the end. He loved his family wholeheartedly and we appreciate the good times we had with him. Earl’s music has inspired countless fans around the world and his iconic legacy will live on forever. ” For days in America people gathered singing his songs to pay homage to him.
Being a lover of American rap, I felt a strong need to write and remember who he DMX was again. What I find strange and unbelievable is that despite so many deaths of artists for the same reason, others continue to make the same mistakes instead of learning from them.
Although I was an admirer of the artist, I unhesitatingly condemn his conduct which led to his death instead of enjoying his fortune and success.
