DONATELLA VERSACE

Donatella Versace was born in Reggio Calabria on May 2, 1955, graduated in Languages ​​at the University of Florence, entered the world of fashion during the eighties, when Versace moved to Milan and began to establish itself in the world of fashion. Initially she, Donatella, takes care of communication, public relations and the image of the brand. Subsequently, her brother Gianni entrusts her with the management of the well-known Versace Versus brand.

In July 1998, a year after Andrew Cunanan’s murder of her brother, Donatella designs her first Versace fashion line. In 2000 Donatella Versace created the famous transparent green dress that Jennifer Lopez will wear at the Grammy Awards 2000, and which will attract the eyes and criticism of the press, becoming an iconic piece of the fashion world. Later in 2013 Lady Gaga – singer and great friend of Donatella Versace – dedicates a song to the designer, called Donatella, within the artpop album.

In 2002, a selection of her most beautiful and iconic dresses was exhibited at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Donatella Versace is very active on her social networks, where she often tells about her creations and brings the inspirations that lead her to create the Versace clothes
