DINAMO BRINDISI 70–63 ECOJUMP MESSINA BASKET SCHOOL GAME REPORT & BOX SCORE

EcoJump Messina Basket School suffered a 70–63 road defeat against Dinamo Brindisi after a hard-fought contest that remained undecided until the closing possessions. The yellow-and-red side dominated the rebounds (47–34, including 12 by Warden and 10 by Chakir), while Chakir led all Messina scorers with 18 points. However, poor three-point shooting (6/31, 19%), 17 turnovers and an unbalanced road officiating standard ultimately proved costly.

Coach Pippo Sidoti confirmed the starting five of recent weeks: Busco, Vinciguerra, Beltadze, Warden and Chakir. Brindisi opened strongly through Stankovic and Sapiega. Messina struggled offensively before Chakir sparked the comeback with strong inside play and a three-pointer. Warden and Chakir then gave Messina its first lead before Stankovic’s late basket closed the opening quarter at 13–12. Busco and Beltadze both collected two early fouls. The second quarter was evenly balanced but featured low shooting percentages. Vinciguerra tied the game from the free-throw line before Stankovic and Marinelli exchanged three-pointers. Iannicelli put Messina ahead 25–24, forcing a timeout, but an unsportsmanlike foul and Costabile’s late three-pointer allowed Brindisi to take a 30–25 lead into halftime.

Brindisi stretched the margin to ten points early in the third quarter before Messina responded through Marinelli and Vinciguerra. A technical free throw by Vinciguerra and Busco’s spectacular buzzer-beater reduced the deficit to just one point (48–47). In the final quarter the teams traded baskets throughout. Warden and Chakir repeatedly kept Messina within striking distance, but Brindisi executed better in the closing minute. Gonzalez converted key free throws before Di Ianni’s dunk sealed the result. Chakir scored the final point from the line for the 70–63 final score.
