I would like to write about a mysterious case that has been going on for 17 years, the case of Denise Pipitone.
It all began on September 1, 2004, in Mazara del Vallo, when the little Denise was playing with her cousins in the street. That day Denise was kidnapped at 11:45am. Her mother, Piera Maggio, learned of the kidnapping of her daughter at 12:30pm.
Slowly, many news were spread. For example, a man said he had spotted Denise in Morocco with two people, a Sicilian and an Albanian, wearing the veil. More scandal was added to the case when the mum confessed Denise was not Tony Pipitone’s daughter, but she was actually born from her affair with Piero Pulizzi.
In 2021 they talked about this case numerously, because there was the news of a Russian girl who looked like Denise’s mother, Piera Maggio. Piera’s lawyer, Giacomo Frazzitta, was impatient to know the blood type of the girl. Unfortunately, they announced the blood type of Olesya did not coincide with the one of Denise’s mother. Also, after doing the DNA test, it was clear that Olesya is not Denise.
The mother has been running a blog for 16/17 years, entitled Missing Denise Pipitone with desperate ads translated into several languages to help Denise’s mom.
Unfortunately, they decided to close this case but the woman will never stop looking for Denise, like us Italians, who will not lose hope for the girl to return home.
