We are going through a difficult period that has completely upset our way of living and our way to go to school.
D.L. it’s an abbreviation that has entered our normal language: it means Distance Learning.
D.L. is the new way to go to school during Coronavirus.
Tablets, laptops, computers, mobile phones are a valid help for Distance Learning because kids are attracted more to them instead of the pages of a book.
D.L. has, however, some advantages and disadvantages. The advantages are: learning from home, the immediacy of quickly connecting to multiple sources. But the disadvantages have far outweighed the benefits.
Not everyone can learn because of Wi-fi malfunctioning or because of the missing of digital devices.
Clearly, all of that penalizes weak kids.
It could be interesting to use these electronic devices at school, because students are more interested in the electronic world.
But this should be done with responsibility because you can easily be distracted.
Distance Learning has changed the relationship between students and teachers, moreover concentration is more difficult sometimes.
In this emergency teachers managed to teach with all the available means at their disposal: video lessons, recorded lessons, with WhatsApp, to reach their students.
D.L. can’t replace face-to-face teaching but right now it’s the only way to guarantee didactic continuity.
Only working all together, Kids, Teachers and Parents can overcome this situation.
