Christmas is coming, the most magical time of the year. There are so many things to love about Christmas! Christmas is colored light, fantasy, dreams, warm colors, smell of fresh-baked cookies, oranges, cinnamon…, and above all it is the time when the feelings of compassion and solidarity arise in people’s soul.
Giving is the best way to restore hope. By giving, we can save lives.
There are many humanitarian organizations that work to help people in need.
One of these is Unicef that since 75 years has been taking care of children around the world who suffer hunger.
Food is life: it stands first among all basic needs. It is essential for growing healthy.
Today Unicef is leading a coronavirus vaccine campaign to support the purchase and the equitable distribution of Covid vaccines in a lot of countries. It is also helping countries strengthen their health systems. With a donation of 30 euros, it is possible to buy a cold room for storing vaccines, with 50 euros it is possible the transport of 1,500 doses of vaccine and with 100 euros the delivery of 15 hand sanitizers.
It is an important project because we will not be safe until everyone is safe and the only way to protect ourselves is to distribute the vaccine in large quantities worldwide.
St. Francis of Assisi used to say: “Start by doing what’s necessary, then what’s possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible”

Merry Christmas, everyone
