Five hundred people are hospitalized at Eluru, India, due to a new disease.
The state of Andhra Pradesh, in Southern India, has been hit by a mysterious disease.
The minister of Health announced that a team from the World Health Organization (W.H.O.) will arrive in Eluru, in the next few hours.
The only news we have from this disease is that blood tests have found traces of lead, nickel and other metals. Lead and nickel, present in milk and in drinking water, perhaps are the cause of these diseases. But nobody knows the real cause.
Fainting, sickness and convulsions are the main symptoms.
The government is investigating the origin of the disease and excludes the possible contamination of water or air so, now there are only hypothesis and great concern.
Let’s hope that it’s just a temporary illness.
I’m very worried about it and I hope that people will recover soon.
