Today, April 13, 2022, an extraordinary American actor would have turned 46. I’m talking about Jonathan Brandis a famous actor, who made the 90s in cinema immemorial.
Jonathan was born today but in 1976. Born in Connecticut, to a firefighter father, Gregory Brandis (from whom Jonathan takes his middle name), and teacher mother, Mary Brandis, he jumped into show business at the tender age of five! Jonathan started with TV commercials, making himself known more and more. In 1985 Jonathan has already done 80 TV commercials and shortly after making the new Year his parents decide to move to Los Angeles to start his acting career.
Jonathan began making extras in a few films and in 1989 Jonathan played Bastian in The Neverending Story 2. Going on with his career he landed the role of Bill Denbrough as a child in the It television series, based on the Stephen King novel.
Years pass and we are in 2003. Jonathan is not very convinced about how things are going, saddened he falls into depression. On November 11 goes out with friends, and they notice his strange attitude. They return to the actor’s house and he disappears for a while, after 15 minutes a friend is worried and goes to look for him. At 11:40 pm his friend finds him unconscious and hanged from a rope. His friend calls the ambulance and Jonathan dies the next day at 2:45 am from the serious injuries left by the rope. He was only 27 years old.
So today that he would have turned 46, let’s remember him every day and hope he is resting in peace.
