A GOLD MEDAL FROM DUBAI TO SICILY.

The company Tenute Caracci in Partanna, Trapani, obtained gold at the International competition Dubai Olive Oil Competition Early Harvest 2021. The owner of the Tenute Caracci in Partanna is 29-year-old Mirko Caracci. Three years ago, he took up the challenge of continuing the family tradition, on a land of about 30 hectares. He chose to combine tradition and innovation, respecting the history of the territory, with a management of the company respecting the environment, the subsoil and the quality of the product. Tenute Caracci produce monovarietal PDO oil Nocellara del Belice, processed with an integrated production. This method of land processing involves the use of plant protection substances with minimum environmental impact and a respectful processing of the territory. The water is consciously optimized to avoid waste. Nocellara del Belice extra virgin olive oil is a high quality product with a green colour and golden yellow reflections. The taste tends to be sweet, with spicy and bitter notes.

The quality of this Sicilian oil has already received the Gold Medal at the International Competition of New York (year 2020) and with the Silver Medal at the International Competition of Paestum (Calabria) in the year 2020. He also received the certificate of quality of the international award “The Mediterranean Gold” (Fano, years 2018 and 2019) and the national award “The Gold of Italy” (Fano, years 2018 and 2019).

It is a source of pride for us Sicilians to reach such an important milestone. And if it’s a young boy doing it, it’s even more satisfying and gives us teenagers hope. It is possible to achieve great goals if you believe in what you are doing.
