When I heard about this opportunity to go to Malta for a week to study and speak English with local native speakers, l immediately decided to take it. Time ago one of my closest friends already went with his school in a similar study trip and I remember that when he came back, he told me how amazing this experience was for weeks! That’s why I have a lot of expectations. For example, he told me that lessons aren’t like we are used here in Italy. Firstly, there aren’t school desks where everyone sits individually, but students are next to each other in circle and the teacher is in the middle, in order to interact better. And secondly, schools are so big you could get lost inside them!
I don’t know if all the structures there are the same and if we are going to attend the same kind of lessons, but I hope so because it would be interesting to try something different from the typical Italian school system. However, that’s not the only reason why l’m looking forward to going there.
In fact, not only I want to train myself in speaking mostly in English, so improving my vocabulary and pronunciation, but I also want to make great memories with my friends. Even if we have to attend lessons in the mornings, we will have time in the afternoon to do something fun and enjoy each other’s company. I also want to visit the city because I have never been to Malta and I know there are many interesting things to do there. I know a week it’s not enough to improve my English, but I hope this experience will encourage me to start studying it more seriously.
