Tupac Amaru Shakur, better know as 2Pac, was an American actor and rapper. He is considered the most influential rapper of all time, despite his short musical career caused by his death, at only 25 years old. He was born in the neighborhood of Harlem, New York but moved to Los Angeles in 1988. In 1991 Tupac joined in the “Digital Underground”. After the publication of his first album “2Pacalypse Now”, he became a central figure of the black community, introducing in his songs social commentary.


While he was imprisoned he left the Thug life and followed Suge Knigt in his label “Death Row Records” where he publish his most famous and important album: All Eyez on Me, especially the track “Hit’em Up”, a diss track against The Notorious and all the East Coast.
On 1996 he founded his label “the Makaveli Records”, where he recorded some albums with the new york’s group Boot Camp Clik, with the purpose to stop the war between the East and the West side.
Final, 2Pac died on the 09/13 of the 1996 in Las Vegas, during a shootout just over the box match of Mike Tyson; about his death is not yet know after 26 years who pulled the trigger.
In the years after Shakur’s death, several of his posthumous albums were released. On August 6, 2004, he released “2pac Live”, the rapper’s first live album. On April 5, 2006, the wax statue of Tupac Shakur was presented at the Madame Tussauds Museum in Las Vegas; Jeni Fairey worked over 700 hours on her masterpiece to faithfully reproduce Shakur’s body: the work weighs a total of 25 kg and portrays Tupac shirtless with his classic bandana and all the tattoos. The statue went around the world to commemorate its tenth anniversary of death. In 2012, he appeared in a hologram at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, playing the songs Hail Mary and 2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted.
On September 24, 2018 the docu-series Tupac: Il caso è aperto on Crime+Investigation aired in Italy, trying to give a face to his killer and to shed light on the unsolved case of his death.
