I saw “The Philosopher’s Stone” on TV during the Christmas holidays
All the actors featured in this film are of British or Irish descent such as: Emma Watson, Rupertr Grint, Daniel Radcliffe, Robert Pattinson, Tom Felton and Richard Harris.
The film is based on the book by J.K. Rowling who is the writer of the seven books of the saga and carried in eight blockbuster films.
This film manages to transport the public to an alternative world to ours in which there is a splendid school of magic in which everyone, at the end of the film, would like to study or have studied.
The costumes, the music, the colors, the sets … everything is so well cared for that the world is believable, it is well constructed, it has its own epic, and in a word, it works despite many years have passed since its release.
You could fly on broomsticks, play Quidditch, cast spells, brew potions, encounter amazing mythical creatures, and fight evil wizards.
I read some books that made me passionate. The film does not appear to be a summary of the book, far from it. Instead, it is epic, wide-ranging, a solid foundation on which to build more complicated stories in the future without having to explain the setting already so well defined with this first masterpiece.
I advise adults and young people to see this beautiful film because the Harry Potter film is based on friendship, magic and love.
