On March 3, 1857 Alexander Graham Bell was born in Edinburgh who on March 7, 1876 filed his patent number 174,465 to protect the method and apparatus for transmitting voice and other sounds by means of electrical undulations, he had invented the telephone.
But the telephone has Florentine origins, in fact Antonio Meucci emigrated to New York as early as 1854 had deposited the first prototype the telephone then for lack of money in 1871 was unable to file his patent and no one financed it .So Alexander Graham, perhaps, had already seen his first prototype filed his patent and was considered the inventor of the telephone. Meucci denounced him; the first time the United States Supreme Court agreed but, in the meantime, Alexander Graham Bell had already started the Bell telephone company from which the first telecommunications industry, the American telephone and Telegraph, originated.
Meucci died in 1893 and Alexander’s patent was no longer contested.
The first phone model had a microphone and a speaker connected by an electrical circuit with a stock battery. The first phone call was made in Boston by Alexander himself!
