How much has our life changed with Covid-19? Talking about teenagers, they are the ones who have changed more in our society. “Thanks” to the lockdown and the virus, they now love the little things.
For example, after the lockdown students can’t have a deskmate anymore. Personally, I really miss sharing the desk with my classmates. During the lockdown we weren’t able to see our friends in presence for a long time. We missed the hugs, the kisses, the laughs with our friends, going out somewhere, studying together and playing sports.
During the lockdown, the average use of the smartphone among teenagers raised up to 68% , with an average daily use of 9/10 hours per person – that is a serious situation. At home we teenagers had nothing to do, so why not watching many films? Digital platforms like Netflix have reached 16 million new subscribers. Thanks to this, teenagers found out ”old“ films like the musical “Grease” and TV series like “How I met your mother” and “Friends”. I read a lot of reviews about these two TV series and immediately wanted to watch them.
In the end, with remote learning teenagers didn’t get the chance to write as, for example, the teachers would ask us to send our homework with a google document. By using a keyboard, we lost the habit of writing a text on a notebook.
The only good thing about Covid-19 is that teenagers finally appreciate the little things like the love your friends can give you and they understand how beautiful life is off-screen.
