Many hotels, travel agencies use platforms to entice the buyer to book rooms or travel. Today through these sites we learn about the facilities they offer, how many stars the hotel may be, or perhaps the exclusivity of the food.
For example: I happened to visit some hotels for the holidays of the past years, with my family. I remember the website of the San Domenico palace hotel in Taormina. Obviously we are talking about a hotel in a purely tourist location, therefore expensive for that alone, but with all the options you could wish for (also with an additional price for the suite room). The hotel’s e-commerce site published photos of the rooms, beautiful and spacious, with a balcony or veranda. It promoted excursions for tourists with a tour guide to make known the enchanting Sicilian town. Taormina is well known in the world of VIPs, either for the ancient Greek theater or for the historic center, but because of its characteristics it has nothing to envy to any other city in the world.
Moreover, the hotel’s website was very engaging! Our food, typically Sicilian food did not take a back seat, so much so that there were offers only for an overnight stay plus breakfast, with prickly pear jam, cassate, connoli etc … in short, food which is famous all over the world and that everybody loves. Of course it was a hotel that unfortunately is not within our reach, but e-commerce sites are just for this, to understand what we want, how we want it and above all how much we want to spend.
