The Ortea Palace Luxury Hotel is a 1920a beautiful 1920 building, known as “Palazzo delle Poste” in the historic centre of Syracuse, on the splendid Porto Piccolo of the island of Ortigia, a few steps from the most important monuments, restaurants and shops of the city.

There are 75 luxury rooms and suites at Ortea Palace, with bright, spacious and welcoming interiors, Italian design, furnishings and precious curtains that remind the shades of sea blue, green, pearl grey and cardinal red.
The Tower Suites are the largest and most spacious rooms in the hotel and reflect its unmistakable style with fine furniture and unique details. They are located on the 3rd floor of the hotel and have a spacious and elegant living room with leather armchairs, a sofa with a refined fabric and a precious wood desk. The bathroom on the lower floor is equipped with a large shower and elegantly furnished. The two balconies, equipped with outdoor furniture, enjoy a spectacular view of the sea of Ortigia.
However, all the rooms are spacious and comfortable and enjoy a partial view of the port of Ortigia and the city. All rooms are equipped with a large, elegantly finished wardrobe, a table / desk in precious wood and luxury furnishings.
As we have said, the Ortea Palace wellness centre is the ideal place to enjoy moments of absolute relaxation. Over 450 square metres where vapours, fragrances and perfumes blend in a warm and pleasant environment.
There is also a Finnish sauna, a whirlpool, an indoor salt water swimming pool, emotional showers, a sanotherm and many other cabins for different types of treatments and a couple’s massage suite. One of the most particular things is the innovative CLOUD 9 machine, unique in Italy and among a few in the world.

The Ortea Palace Luxury Hotel has 5 meeting rooms that can host events, private dinners and business meetings. Three of them are located on the ground floor and there is only a room that can accommodate up to 250 people.
In this room called “Salone delle Poste”, because it once housed the old post office in Syracuse, there are still some original sculptures depicting Greek memory. The rooms have natural light, are elegantly furnished and have kept intact the charm of the past. The third room, the “Telegram Room”, also located on the ground floor, has natural light and can accommodate up to 70 people.
The other two rooms are located in the basement and are respectively 40 and 70 square meters. Of these, one has natural light. They are all equipped with free WI-FI, with projector, screen, microphone and stationery. On the ground floor there is also the “Churchill Room”, cigar room, where you can find different types of cigars, a wide selection of spirits and many labels of fine wines.
The Priveé is also located on the ground floor and houses unique antiques and furnishings with rich fabrics.
Finally, regarding food, the hotel’s Sicilian bistro offers traditional cuisine in a chic and elegant setting. Located in the hall on the ground floor, it represents the beating heart of the hotel.
You can enjoy many culinary specialties such as an excellent pasta alla Norma and Mediterranean tuna, but also a special buffalo stracciatella with Mazara red prawns.
