LITTLE WOMEN GROW UP… GRETA THUNBERG.

To celebrate women who have made the difference in this world, I decided to talk about the young Swedish activist Greta Thunberg.

Her full name is Greta Tintin Eleonora Ernman Thunberg and she was born in Stockholm on January 3, 2003.

She became famous in 2018 for her demonstrations against climate change and her school strike for the climate.

She is the daughter of an actor and an opera singer, at the age of 13 she discovered that she had Asperger’s syndrome with obsessive disorders, silence and poor attention. She was included by the magazine “Time” among the 25 most important teenagers in the world and was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize 2019.

Organized around the world on Friday to remember the environmental damage caused by climate change, the most important of these events is that of Stockholm in Sweden.

In January for her 18th birthday she asked for headlights for a bicycle as a gift, as in Sweden it gets dark very early, and no new clothes, she prefers them used.

Chosen by many young people as an idol to follow, she has often received death threats for herself and her family.

Her most famous phrases are “you are never too small to make a difference” or “you say you love your children above everybody else, but you are stealing their future”; or “we have to change now because tomorrow may already be late”. In 2019, Time appoints her as “Person of the year” and Amnesty International elects her ambassador, in October of the same year she receives an award for children’s peace and in December she is mentioned among the ten “people who matter” in science

I decided to write this article on Greta Thunberg because in my opinion the environment is very important and we often underestimate it.
