Dance was born with us. At the beginning it was used in ceremonies and by ancient Greek times as a performing art in theaters. In the Renaissance dance was both a social activity and, with ballet, a form of art. Since then, dance has become part of people’s culture, with new styles and movements.
Dance plays an important part in our lives. We practice modern dance and when we dance we feel happy and free. Even just dance by ourselves to our favourite song bring us joy.
Dance is a way to communicate and help us express ourselves in a creative and personal way. In dance, having a good technique is important and not just in classical dance but in all styles, like contemporary, Latin, Hip -hop……, but expressivity is important too. Dance improve creativity, self-confidence, coordination, balance and posture and helps you keep fit. It helps you make new friends and work as part of a team. Dance brings people together and provides them with a sense of community with people that have the same interests and passion.
Covid-19 has stopped dance for a long time. Since 2020 we have been forced to have lessons online and to train at home in small spaces with a lot of obstacles. Fortunately, this year, thanks to the vaccine, we can practice in gyms again and we can partecipate to competitions too. We know we have to respect the anti Covid rules to protect ourselves and others but we CAN DANCE!!!
Our dream is to become famous good dancers.
