High School final exam 2022: dates, subjects and tracks

The 2022 State exams will start on 22 June at 8.30 a.m. with the first written test in Italian with three different types: analysis and interpretation of a literary text, analysis and production of an argumentative text, critical reflection of an expositive-argumentative nature on topical issues. The next day, the second written test, which is different for each subject, will focus on a single subject in the course of study, followed by the final oral interview which will begin with the analysis of a material chosen by the commission (a text, a document, a problem, a project).

The Commission will be composed of six internal commissioners and an external President. The Italian test will be awarded up to 15 points, the second test up to 10 and the interview up to 25. Honours may also be awarded.

This is what was established by Education Minister Bianchi in the order signed three months before the start of the High Scholl Exams exams.

We are not yet out of the pandemic, we must remember that, but this year, thanks to vaccines and the safety measures decided by the government, we have guaranteed the continuity of school attendance from day one,” stressed Minister Bianchi, who then added: “We have taken into account the last two years experienced by our children. Students should not be afraid of not succeeding. We will continue to support schools, girls and boys, accompanying them towards this goal with all the tools at our disposal”.
