eTwinning is a new experience for the Liceo Galileo Galilei of Spadafora, and also for students from the three different courses – Scientific, Applied Science and Foreign Languages – taking part into the project, which is called The heroes’ journey. It allows to get in touch with foreign people from all over Europe by studying mythological heroes of own tradition. 
The goal of this project is sharing information about myths of each area and above all communicating in English. In fact, thanks to this project, students have the chance to improve English and have a discussion with European countries such as Spain, Turkey, Serbia and Greece.
All of the students choose some characters involved in the history of their countries and divided in groups they introduce the heroes by using technology. The result is to create a virtual route through each area in a global collaborative way. The mythical legend of each area, the cultural heritage of each civilisation and the artistic heritage that surrounds us will be reconstructed.
The students have already taken part in two video calls in order to give a presentation of their works and talk about Troy both as a literary and historical reality with references to the famous movie. 
This project is fascinating because European myths are very different. Since, it is the first time for our school, we are excited to get to know more about our history and we hope to learn as much as possible from this experience.
