Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness: the new incoming Marvel movie

As stated in the “Coming Soon” article by Domenico Misciagna Marvel has revealed a new poster for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

The new Phase 4 MCU film will hit theaters on May 4, 2022 and will feature Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen, directed by Sam Raimi. The new and final poster shows us the variants of Wanda, Doctor Strange, Mordo and Wong. With the new film we will enter a world where everything will be changing after the farewell of Iron Man and Captain America and following the opening of the Multiverse generated at the end of No Way Home by Strange. The sorcerer in the film will therefore ask for help from his ally Wong, the Sorcerer Supreme, and the most powerful of the Avengers, Scarlet Witch aka Wanda.

The film will then see Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), his trusted friend Wong (Benedict Wong) and Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen), known as Scarlet Witch, face the immensity of the Multiverse, a concept – according to Strange himself – of which they know very little. With the help of mystical allies, including those already mentioned and others of new acquaintance, Doctor Strange will this time face the alternate realities of the Multiverse, which will prove both shocking and dangerous.

As it said in the article there are five different Stranges, and according to this new poster, the evil Strange seen in the trailer won’t be the only one he’s dealing with. Strange is therefore now a central figure in the Avengers team, and is the only one who can defend the world from the threat that looms over humanity, partly due to him. It also seems that in the film one of his most important enemies may be a variant of him, coming from another Universe.
