Andrea Agnelli is an Italian entrepreneur and sports manager. From 2010 he was president of Juventus Football Club while from 2017 to 2021 he was president of the European Club Association. Son of Umberto Agnelli and his second wife Allegra Caracciolo, brother of the late Giovannino and Anna. In 2005 he married the English Emma Winter; during their relationship the couple had two children, born respectively in 2005 and 2011. After the end of this marriage, since 2015 he has been linked to the Turkish Deniz Akalin; in 2017 the couple had a daughter. He trained academically at St. Clare’s International College in Oxford, and at the Bocconi University in Milan. During his career he has had work experience both in Italy and abroad: among these, sales and marketing tasks in companies such as Piaggio, Auchan and Ferrari. From 2001 to 2004 he worked at Philip Morris International with responsibility for marketing, sponsorship and corporate communication. In 2007 he set up his own financial holding company, Lamse.
Agnelli has also maintained links with the Fiat world. In 2004 he had become a director of the Fiat Group, also maintaining his post in subsequent Fiat S.p.A. and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA); from 2021, with the merger between FCA and Groupe PSA, he was appointed non-executive director of the newly formed Stellantis. Since 2006 he has also been a director of the Industrial Financial Institute, which later became Exor.
He inherited from his family the passion for the Juventus football team, in which he began to collaborate from the 1998-1999 season as an assistant in the commercial sector. On 19 May 2010 he was elected president of the company position.
Under his mandate, from the 2010s the Juventus team established a victorious cycle, during which they won the Italian championship for nine consecutive seasons, with a total of 19 trophies, the Agnelli management becomes the most successful in Juventus history.
On the sporting side, the Agnelli presidency includes the expansion and modernization of the club’s real estate park (from the Stadium with the adjoining J-Museum to the J-Village complex) as well as the establishment of the second men’s team and the first women’s teamas well as the club’s entry into the world of electronic sports.
