AN IMAGINARY INTERVIEW WITH ROMELU IUKAKU.

Journalist: good afternoon, Romelu, welcome to our program!

Romelu: thank you!

Journalist: I’m introducing you to our public…After taking your  first steps in some smaller teams in Antwerp, in 2006 you entered the youth sector of Anderlecht, with which you made your  debut at the age of 16 and won the Pro League in 2009-2010.

Romelu: that’s right!

Journalist: What happened in 2011?

R: In 2011 I was bought by Chelsea but, finding little space, I went on loan to West Bromwich the following season. In 2013 I moved to Everton, where I remained for four years and established myself as one of the Premier League’s most prolific strikers. In 2017 I  was bought by Manchester Utd for a sum that made me at that time, the most expensive Belgian player ever.

Journalist: When did you move to Inter?

R.:  After two seasons I moved to Inter, resulting in the most expensive acquisition in the history of the Milanese club.

J: Here we can watch some images and a video about  the best moment in your career?

R.:yes, I was in Belgium in that video; it was when I joined the Belgian national team since 2010, I participated in two editions of the World Cup (Brazil 2014 and Russia 2018) and one of the European Championship (France 2016).

J.: Is it true that you are the best scorer in the Belgian championship?

R.: yes, it is, I have 57 goals scored .On an individual level, I was the top scorer in the Pro League (2009-2010) and UEFA Europa League (2014-2015), and won the World Championship bronze shoe (2018).

Journalist: let’s remember that you have been named the best player of the UEFA Europa League (2019-2020). Thank you for coming.

R.: my pleasure!
