Agrigento is a hilly city on the southwestern coast of Sicily.
It is known for the ruins of the old city of Akragas and the Valley of the Temples, a vast archaeological site with well-preserved Greek temples.
To the west is the Scala dei Turchi, an unusual white stepped cliff overlooking sandy beaches.

The Valley of the Temples is the attraction not to be missed par EXCELLENCE if you are in Agrigento. It is one of the most famous historical sites in Sicily. The 2 most famous are the Temple of Concordia and the Temple of Hera, also known as the Temple of Juno.
Scala dei Turchi is undoubtedly the second most visited place in Agrigento. You will find this place of interest on many postcards!
