London is a green city . There are lots of parks and lots of things to do and see in London parks, for example:
Kew gardens have about 30,000 varieties of plants and flowers from around the world. The old greenhouses are magnificent. There is a shop with books and posters about flowers, gardening, tools and souvenirs.
About 600 deer live free in Richmond park. People can enjoy a wonderful view of the river Thames from nearby Richmond hill.
Regent’s park is one of London’s favourites . A rose garden, an open air theatre, children’s playgrounds, cafés, a boating lake, playing fields, sports pitches, and London zoo are some of this park’s attractions.
St James’s park has excellent views of Buckingham palace, the official home of British queens and kings. Every day colourful regiments of guards with brass bands and drums march along the park on their way to the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace.
The long water of serpentine lake is between Kensington gardens and Hyde park. By the lake there is a bronze statue of Peter Pan. You can go boating on the lake or horse-riding in Hyde park.
At speaker’s corner people make speeches every weekend.
