Carlo Cracco

Carlo Cracco, famous chef, after attending the ‎‎Pellegrino Artusi‎‎ hotel institute ‎ and working in the ‎‎Da Remo‎‎ restaurant in Vicenza , became famous when he collaborated with Gualtiero Marchesi in 1986.

‎The typical dishes for which he gets the prize are marinated eggs Russian salad, eggplant shrimp and   rice with lentils. ‎‎ Later he worked in ‎‎La Meridiana‎‎ in Paris,  where he studied French  cuisine ‎ at the restaurant with Alan Ducasse.

‎Later he returned to Italy, holding the role of first chef at the Enoteca Pinchiorri  ‎in Florence, obtaining three stars. So  Marchesi ‎ ‎called him again for the opening of his restaurant ‎‎L’Albereta‎‎ in  Erbrusco‎ where Cracco worked as a chef for three years.

‎In 2001, at the invitation of the Stoppani family Cracco opened the ‎‎Cracco Peck‎‎ restaurant in  Milan‎, where he worked as ‎‎executive chef‎‎ until   2007‎ and which, under his management, earned two Michelin starsStarting from the 2018 edition of the Michelin Guide, the restaurant loses one of the two stars.

‎In November 2016 he opened his first restaurant abroad, ‎‎OVO by Carlo Cracco‎‎, located in   Moscow. ‎From 2011 to 2017 he was part of the judges of the culinary of the talent show Masterchef.

‎On March 4, 2017, at the same time as the announcement of the abandonment of the role of judge and he declares that he wants to devote himself to other projects, such as the closure of the first restaurant in Milan (which, however, will reopen the following year) .

Italy-Usa foundation. In September 2021 he leads on   Amazon Prime video platform six episodes of the ‎‎Dinner Club‎‎ program, with the theme of the culture and gastronomy of the Italian territory.‎
