2022 is coming…

2021 is ending. It has been a difficult year because of Covid – 19. This global pandemic began in 2019 and since then we have seen a lot of people die. This virus that hides in the air, infects people and often kills them. In 2020, the world entered lockdown with the closure of schools, shopping centers, cultural and sports venues.

We had to stay closed at home and it was very difficult for everybody. We had lessons online with the help of digital learning platforms and we were away from our friends. We didn’t have the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends.

We wore masks and used antibacterial gel everywhere outside. But we’ve learned to appreciate the little things.

In 2021, thanks to the vaccine the situation has improved. The first and the second doses of the vaccine has come out and they are kind of a guru and now the third one is out. The vaccine does not prevent the virus from infecting, but it is less lethal. The vaccine is available for teens aged twelve and up, although in a few days it will be available from the age of five. This year Covid -19 has brought many deaths and sadness, but also some positive aspects. We can go to school even with these unbearable face masks that forbid us to show our emotions and that sometimes don’t let us breathe, we can meet friends in the square, have a pizza at the restaurant and practice sport. Last summer we went to the beach with our family and even on holiday.

I hope that 2022 will be a better year for everyone, a year of hope, happiness, friendship, without this horrible mask that hides our emotions and expressions. I hope to get back to”normal” and that we never have to experience something so life-changing again.
